Integrating the New Missal

Message from our parish Liturgy Committee and Pastor regarding the Integration of the New Missal at St. Joseph’s Parish.

St. Joseph’s Parish is a community of Roman Catholic faithful, led by the Oblates of Mary Immaculate whose mission is to serve those most abandoned by church structures and who may find themselves in  the margins of the Roman Catholic Church. The Community values diversity and inclusiveness and thus the images and language of the prayers reflect this lived reality.

As a community of disciples who live in mission with a call to social justice and service to the margins, we will be integrating  the new Missal in the spirit in which we now celebrate the liturgy,  expressing diversity within the theology and teachings of the Roman Catholic church.

As we move forward, this will provide an opportunity for liturgical renewal and help us grow in our understanding of our Christian roots within the Roman Catholic Church traditions and to enrich the expression of our cherished faith and mission. – Liturgy Committee
